A friend was talking to me about film producing and gave me a link to her friend's independent action film production. They just made a new film called The Exchange. I really liked it. See if you can spots some locations in Toronto. Let's just say this movie really hits home. Here's some pics:
We arrived at the airport last Thursday to catch our flight to Toronto only to find it had been cancelled. The staff could only tell us that it was caused by lightening storms around the Mississauga area affecting Toronto Pearson International Airport and redirected us to US Airway. After 1.5h of lining up we got our tickets to Toronto.
Looking at the ticket we knew we had a long flight ahead of us and we weren't willing to stay the night for tomorrow's 6 something flight as we did once. Here's the flight plan: Flight 1 - fly south for 1.25h to US Airway's eastern hub
Flight 2 - fly back up North for 2h to Toronto
It was a long flight and I didn't get home till past midnight. I should really sleep more on Wednesday night's to prepare myself for these things.
I've been blogging for almost a year on blogspot but more than 3 years for those of you who remember my web site hosted on Rogers (they shut Rogers hosting a couple months ago so don't bother looking), do you notice how my blog entries are unsubstantial?
Sure there are random pictures like this one:
But that's not what makes a blog your regular read.
It's the funny jokes, the crazy stories, and intriguing articles (I don't read any blogs based on this) that make a blog memorable and a frequented page. My site doesn't seem to contain any of those elements. That's probably the reason for my blog's dismal 200 visits per month.
Now why don't I write more about funny things or interesting stories or intriguing stories? First, my funny stories are too much related to work. Secondly, interesting stories occur during my work hours. Finally, I don't have anything intriguing outside of talking about work.
A constant theme is "work". That's reasonable considering I spend over 14h each day for 5 days of the week doing that. So you might ask, why not write about work?
It's cuz of this, this, and this. I'm sure there's a lot more occurrences of this out there but not all of them catch the Internet's attention.
I don't really need to blog about my life. Sometimes a bit of privacy and secrecy helps. I mean my blog is a great conversational starter when someone says, "I hear you went to so-and-so". But when I start talking about the same thing on my blog it leads me to think, am I just repeating myself? Yeah, I'm out of words a lot as well.
So if you really want to know what's going on in my life, send me a message on my IM when I'm online. Or better yet, let's get together for a game of bball, dinner, movie, or coffee.
